Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health education campaigns targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for health crises and disease outbreaks
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform intervention strategies
- Liaise with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations on health initiatives
- Manage grant-funded programs and ensure compliance with public health regulations
- Prepare reports for county commissioners and state health department officials
- Conduct community health assessments and identify emerging health threats
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of public health program implementation experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills with bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and reliable transportation
