This role is critical in addressing health disparities and promoting wellness across Orleans Parish.
Responsibilities
- Conduct public health assessments and identify community health needs.
- Design and implement evidence-based health education programs.
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to address public health challenges.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of public health interventions.
- Prepare reports and present findings to public health officials and the community.
- Stay current with public health trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public health program development and implementation.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and community partners.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal public health regulations and guidelines.
