Responsibilities
- Design and execute community health assessments to identify emerging health disparities
- Develop targeted intervention programs for chronic disease prevention and health education
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to improve vaccination rates and access to preventive care
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead community outreach events and stakeholder engagement campaigns
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficient in SPSS/R for statistical analysis of health data
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal compliance (CDC/HHS)
- Valid Texas driver's license with reliable transportation
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of local public health initiatives and community resources
