Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs targeting underserved communities
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses including pandemic protocols and natural disaster recovery
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend intervention strategies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to expand outreach initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public health stakeholders
- Lead public health awareness campaigns through digital and traditional channels
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (required)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance (CDC, HRSA)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills strongly preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends during emergencies
