Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and recommend interventions
- Coordinate multi-agency responses to emerging health crises and outbreaks
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $500,000
- Train local healthcare providers on state health protocols and reporting requirements
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state legislators and federal health agencies
- Leverage data visualization tools to communicate health metrics to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in SPSS, R, or SAS for statistical analysis
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential preferred
- Demonstrated experience with crisis communication protocols
- Ability to obtain Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness certification
- Spanish bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
