Responsibilities
- Case Management: Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop service plans for eligible clients in accordance with state regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential case files and electronic records using state-approved software.
- Client Advocacy: Act as a liaison between clients and various state agencies to facilitate access to benefits and resources.
- Community Outreach: Represent the department at local community events and partner organizations to raise awareness of available programs.
- Compliance: Ensure all program activities and reporting adhere to federal and state compliance standards and audit requirements.
- Communication: Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions professionally.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, social services, or public administration.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required for travel to client sites.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies to diverse populations.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
