Responsibilities
- Design and implement disease surveillance systems for early outbreak detection
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Develop evidence-based health education programs for vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Manage cross-agency partnerships with CDC, LDH, and local healthcare providers
- Lead community health outreach initiatives in underserved neighborhoods
- Prepare grant proposals and manage federal/state compliance reporting
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of government or nonprofit public health experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS/R for statistical analysis
- Demonstrated experience with emergency response protocols
- Strong grant writing and federal reporting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across jurisdictional boundaries
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
