Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft legislative recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using government databases
- Prepare detailed reports for state legislators and agency heads
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives on public welfare programs
- Monitor federal policy developments and assess state implications
- Present findings to stakeholders through formal briefings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Deep understanding of New York's legislative processes
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Active NYS security clearance (or ability to obtain)
