Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft legislative recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using statistical software and stakeholder interviews
- Prepare concise policy briefs and executive summaries for legislative leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to implement new policy frameworks
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess impacts on Ohio state programs
- Present findings to legislative committees and agency directors
- Manage policy implementation timelines and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of policy analysis or government relations experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Deep understanding of Ohio state legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Valid Ohio driver's license (for occasional statewide travel)
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
