Responsibilities
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel to emergency calls with precision and urgency
- Maintain constant communication with field units during critical incidents
- Operate CAD/RMS systems and emergency notification platforms
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Document all interactions with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Maintain situational awareness during overnight operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1-year emergency dispatch or public safety experience
- National Emergency Number Association (NENA) certification required
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional calmness under high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in multi-tasking and decision-making
