Responsibilities
- Monitor and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical resources using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation per NIMS protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival medical instructions
- Operate radio consoles and GIS mapping systems
- Adhere to FCC regulations and privacy laws
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 1 year dispatch/customer service experience
- POST Public Safety Dispatcher certification or ability to obtain
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch systems
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
