Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Dispatch appropriate police, fire, and medical units to incident locations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications and dispatch actions.
- Monitor security cameras and other electronic equipment for situational awareness.
- Provide information and assistance to citizens and City personnel.
- Perform data entry and update status reports during shifts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
