Responsibilities
- Dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical services during night shifts
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Maintain accurate logs of all emergency communications and activities
- Provide critical instructions to first responders and the public
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm activations for city facilities
- Collaborate with night patrol units and emergency management teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year customer service or emergency communications experience
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficiency with computer systems and radio communication equipment
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- CPR and First Aid certification (or obtain within 30 days)
