Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
- Respond to emergency calls, alarms, and citizen requests for assistance immediately.
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation for court and record-keeping.
- Assist in the recovery and protection of lost or stolen property.
- Perform traffic control and accident investigation duties.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, medical examination, and drug screening.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical fitness sufficient to perform the duties of the position, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
