Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Operate and maintain state-of-the-art security equipment including metal detectors, trace detection systems, and baggage scanners
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional customer service with diverse travelers
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities through established communication channels
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents and emergency response
- Complete detailed security documentation and maintain accurate screening records
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with security procedures and technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status (Green Card)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Security Clearance
- Pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and medical examination
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
