Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous security screening operations at checkpoints, including X-ray analysis, metal detection, and behavior detection.
- Perform thorough pat-downs, bag inspections, and physical searches to identify and prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies with composure and adherence to established protocols.
- Interact professionally with travelers from diverse backgrounds, explaining security procedures clearly and courteously.
- Document all screening activities, observations, and incidents accurately in the required systems.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff.
- Adhere strictly to all TSA directives, policies, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Permanent Resident Card/Green Card).
- Pass a federal background investigation, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physically fit to perform screening duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting bags up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
