Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, businesses, and visitors in person and over the phone.
- Assist in the administration and oversight of city programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and policies.
- Prepare, compile, and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for departmental audits.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to coordinate community outreach events and initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve public inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Perform data entry and utilize database management systems to track service requests.
- Support the preparation of agendas and meeting materials for city boards and commissions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new computer software quickly.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by department needs.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License (may be required for site visits).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
