Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes, blueprints, and safety regulations
- Review engineering plans and permit applications for accuracy and feasibility
- Document findings through detailed reports, photos, and compliance logs
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Investigate public complaints regarding construction violations
- Testify in administrative hearings and court proceedings as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in construction technology or related field preferred
- 3+ years of construction inspection or civil engineering experience
- Nevada Inspector Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Strong knowledge of ICC codes and local building regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
