Responsibilities
- Inspect construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Review and approve engineering drawings, permits, and site plans
- Document findings through detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen complaints and resolve field issues
- Ensure ADA and environmental regulation compliance
- Prepare project documentation and progress reports
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3+ years of construction inspection experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- ICC Certification (Building Inspector preferred)
- Strong knowledge of building codes and local ordinances
- Proficiency with inspection software and CAD tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
