Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of construction projects for compliance with approved plans and regulations
- Review engineering plans, permits, and development applications
- Document violations and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and city staff
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public works infrastructure
- Maintain accurate records using GIS and permitting systems
- Provide technical guidance during project planning phases
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years construction inspection experience
- ICBO/ICC certifications in building or inspection preferred
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in CAD software and field inspection technology
- Strong knowledge of municipal codes and construction standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
