Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects for compliance with city codes and specifications
- Review engineering plans and documentation for accuracy and feasibility
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports with recommendations
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Enforce safety regulations and environmental compliance standards
- Manage project documentation and maintain inspection records
- Provide technical guidance during project planning and execution phases
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years construction inspection experience
- Valid Wisconsin Inspector Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, OSHA standards, and ADA requirements
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Excellent written communication skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical specifications
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
