Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with city codes and safety standards
- Review engineering plans and blueprints for accuracy and feasibility

- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen complaints related to construction or infrastructure issues
- Issue permits and enforce regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- ICBO certification or equivalent highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and stand for extended periods
