Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on roads, bridges, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (dump trucks, graders, excavators) safely
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure
- Support emergency response during weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided)
- Experience with construction equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of public works systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and physical examination
