Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review engineering plans and specifications for accuracy and feasibility
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed technical reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and government agencies
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public infrastructure
- Ensure ADA compliance and environmental standards are met
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3+ years of construction inspection experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- ICBO certifications preferred (Building Inspector, Plans Examiner)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and inspection software
- Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code (6th Edition)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
