Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of construction projects for code compliance
- Review engineering plans and permit applications
- Document violations and issue correction notices
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain digital records
- Testify in code enforcement hearings as required
- Stay updated on current construction regulations and standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (AA/AS degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 years construction inspection experience
- ICC certifications in Building/Plumbing/Mechanical
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Strong knowledge of ICC codes and local ordinances
- Proficiency with GIS and inspection software
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
