Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes and safety regulations
- Review engineering plans and blueprints for accuracy and feasibility
- Document project progress with detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials on project modifications
- Investigate public complaints related to construction activities
- Prepare violation notices and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Train junior inspectors on municipal standards and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 3+ years of construction inspection experience in municipal projects
- Valid Arizona Inspector Certification (ICC preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD software and inspection documentation tools
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and ADA standards
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
