Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on municipal equipment and facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Conduct regular inspections of parks, playgrounds, and public spaces
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment documentation
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) mandatory
- Minimum 2 years experience in equipment maintenance or construction
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
