Responsibilities
- Conduct daily field inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications
- Document project progress, safety protocols, and material quality through detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve code violations and technical issues
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, and compliance documentation
- Enforce city ordinances, OSHA standards, and environmental regulations during construction activities
- Prepare preliminary and final inspection reports with recommendations for corrective actions
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience in municipal or state government projects
- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Inspector certification or equivalent
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and field reporting software
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
