Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects for code compliance
- Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate public complaints related to infrastructure issues
- Enforce federal, state, and local building regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction inspection experience
- Valid California Inspector certification (OSHPD, DSA, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of ICC and California Building Codes
- Ability to read architectural blueprints and technical documents
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
