Responsibilities
- Conduct daily field inspections of construction sites for compliance with municipal codes and project specifications
- Document findings through detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors to resolve compliance issues and ensure timely corrections
- Review engineering plans and permit applications for technical accuracy
- Maintain accurate project documentation and digital records
- Collaborate with city engineers during project planning phases
- Provide emergency response support during infrastructure failures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection or civil engineering experience
- Valid Louisiana Inspector Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and inspection reporting software
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Strong knowledge of ICC codes and local building regulations
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and traverse construction sites
- Emergency response certification preferred
