Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, tampers, and saws) under supervision
- Assist in roadway maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and storm drain clearing
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and Cal/OSHA regulations
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following environmental standards
- Participate in emergency response operations during weather-related events
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with ability to pass pre-employment physical exam
- Valid California Driver's License required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10-hour construction certification (training provided)
- No prior experience necessary – entry-level candidates encouraged to apply

- Basic math skills for material calculations and inventory management
