Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, shoveling, and lifting materials
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of public facilities
- Ensure job sites comply with safety regulations and cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs to supervisors
- Support emergency response efforts during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Physical stamina for 8-hour shifts with frequent standing/walking
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work in team settings
- Preferable 6 months of construction or maintenance experience
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
