Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, forklifts, dump trucks) with proper certification
- Assist in street repairs, sidewalk installations, and drainage system maintenance
- Participate in seasonal snow removal and emergency response operations
- Maintain safe work zones and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Document daily work activities and material usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Michigan Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery (6+ months)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
