Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and asphalt patching
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power tools) safely
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Assist in stormwater management and flood control projects
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Complete daily maintenance logs and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
