Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and asphalt paving for municipal projects
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) under proper supervision
- Maintain roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems to ensure public safety
- Assist in snow removal and ice control during winter months
- Conduct routine inspections of public works infrastructure
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures
