Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws) and hand tools
- Assist in infrastructure repair (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Support stormwater pollution prevention and environmental compliance
- Maintain work zones per OSHA and city safety standards
- Document work progress and material usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Experience with hand/power tools preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including emergencies
