Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and stormwater system upkeep
- Conduct daily site inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deadlines
- Adhere to OSHA standards and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
