Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street repairs, sidewalk construction, and drainage system maintenance
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, forklifts, trenchers) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in park facility maintenance including playground installation and landscape work
- Support stormwater pollution prevention through erosion control measures
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related public works incidents
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and daily work documentation
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in public works/construction highly desirable
