Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in road maintenance, drainage systems, and park facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, graders, and dump trucks
- Assist in snow removal and winter weather emergency response
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on public infrastructure
- Maintain clean and safe job sites following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic equipment operation skills (loader, forklift, etc.)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
