Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage clearing, and park upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery safely (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) with proper certification
- Assist in stormwater management projects and environmental compliance initiatives
- Conduct site inspections and report hazards using digital field management systems
- Maintain equipment and tools in optimal condition through daily inspections and preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and environmental specialists
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or civil construction
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with GIS mapping and field reporting software
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Florida Stormwater Management certification preferred
