Responsibilities
- Perform heavy equipment operation (excavators, backhoes, loaders) for excavation and grading projects
- Execute road maintenance, pothole repairs, and asphalt/concrete work
- Install and maintain public utilities (water, sewer, storm drains)
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA/MSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Collaborate with civil engineers and project supervisors on site plans
- Document project progress and material usage through digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience with valid Class A CDL
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform strenuous physical labor in varied weather conditions
- Experience with municipal infrastructure projects preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and survey equipment
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
