Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and pneumatic tools under supervision
- Maintain and repair city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in snow removal, debris cleanup, and emergency response operations
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document work progress and maintain equipment in proper working condition
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool handling experience
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous construction or public works experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification a plus
