Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and asphalt repair
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, signs)
- Participate in snow removal and ice control operations during winter months
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and variable schedules
- Clean driving record and pre-employment drug screening required
