Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, sidewalk construction, and storm drain cleaning
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, concrete saws, and asphalt compactors
- Assist in traffic control and safety zone setup for public works projects
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain equipment and work areas according to OSHA safety standards
- Participate in emergency response efforts during natural disasters
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or maintenance labor
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety protocols
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
