Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage systems, and park projects
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with skilled tradespersons on municipal projects
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety checks
- Document work progress and materials usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (paid training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Team player with strong work ethic
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
