Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, trenching, and lifting heavy materials.
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, dump trucks, and pavement breakers.
- Maintain and clean construction sites, public roadways, and right-of-ways.
- Assist in snow removal, ice control, and street sweeping operations during inclement weather.
- Install and repair basic utilities including storm drains, water lines, and sewer systems.
- Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, foremen, and other team members to ensure project efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous outdoor work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
