Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compressors) under supervision
- Maintain safe work zones and adhere to OSHA/WISHA standards
- Assist with road repairs, sidewalk installations, and park maintenance
- Support utility crews with trenching, pipe installation, and backfilling
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Document work progress and maintain clean job sites
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols
- Willingness to obtain flagging certification (training provided)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Seattle
- Positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills
