Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road maintenance, sidewalk repair, and street sweeping
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, power saws, and pressure washers
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and debris removal during inclement weather
- Support construction projects by preparing sites, moving materials, and following safety protocols
- Participate in snow removal operations during winter months
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report hazards
- Maintain equipment and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Valid Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to public safety
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
