Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for excavation and grading tasks
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and material handling (up to 50 lbs)
- Maintain public works sites including road repairs, drainage systems, and park facilities
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Assist in stormwater management and erosion control during inclement weather
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
