Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and road maintenance
- Operate heavy equipment safely under supervision (bobcats, jackhammers)
- Assist in sewer line repairs and storm drain installations
- Maintain job site cleanliness and safety protocols
- Load/unload materials and tools for daily operations
- Participate in snow removal and emergency response duties
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Experience with hand/power tools and basic machinery
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
